Professional Products tb any good? I am thinking about a buying a new Throttle body. I noticed I can get a professional products for $200; how are these tb's? Anyone have one on there car?

I have only run PP and Holley for the last 15yrs. The PP is very nice and works flawlessly and the polished one holds up well. Wont be spending 400+ again on a Holley that's for sure.

The PP is a nice unit, does not have a standard top-plate bolt pattern tho, just FYI...
I have run PP, Holley, BBK, AS&M and LPE thorttlebodies on various setups over the years...
Here is my rundown of them:
AS&M - Great asthetics, fits well, nice unit. Negatives: overpriced.
Holley - Great asthetics, fits well, the nicest unit available for the price. Negatives: None.
BBK - Functional, asthetics are meh, price could be better. Negatives: some units had a "whistling" problem where they would cause a whistling noise. Should have been fixed in newer units. Fugly raw cast look.
LPE - Unreal Beauty! Great looks, fits good. Negatives: top plate has rounded corners, thicker than any other unit (ie, pushes the elbow towards the front of the car), TPS is non-LT1, so you have to splice in a new pigtail.
Professional Products - Good enough looks, works well, great price. Negatives: top plate bolt pattern is not the LT1 standard, finish is just so-so as it is no-where near as refined as any of the other units. Polished PP looks better than the BBK, but the cast PP is just as fugly.
Honestly, my favorite is the LPE unit. I have owned 2 of those in the past 16 years. Unique looks, but you pay the price in multiple ways for the distinction. The Holley is the best for a great looking unit that isn't uber-expensive, but you pay a little more. The AS&M is a perfect polished gem, but you pay the price for quality. Everything else is functional, with the PP polished as the best-bang-for-the-buck unit.

I have a holley now, but the blades keep sticking open at like 5-8% throttle. I am not sure If I should keep it and sand the crap out of the blades or just but a pp tb. If I hold the holley up in the light I can see light all around one blade, but the other shows light only around a few spots of the blade; will this cause any problems. Should I take the blade that is not showing light all the way around out and sand the blade until it shows light all the way around?

Ive had the BBK, Holly, and I now have the AS&M one, best working and looking I've had is the AS&M with the holly second, the BBK was a complete peice of junk.

Yes im using one on my turbo car. It functions just as well as the Holley on my wires car. I have had it 4yrs and looks brand new still. The only thing I had to do is oblong the top plate I bought to fit the unit. Only 2 holes needed it and it took less than 5min.
As for my comment on trolling, im right on. No explanation of why it sucks or is crap. Trolls will be trolling.
