396 is the feasible maximum, while up to 410 is "possible".
You would be able to go farther if you sleeve the block, but for some reason I have never seen anyone do that to an LT1...probably only because of the cost. I vaguely remember hearing about a sleeved 427 LT1 years ago, but I may just be going crazy.
By the time you add up all the machining and block work to sleeve all 8 cylinders, then the custom pistons, you will be spending a shitton of money to end up with "just an LT1". At that level of the game an LS build would blow it out the water for less money...now that I mention that, it didn't stop me anyway so wtf am I complaining about .

Unlesss I'm crazy, I remember reading about big block lt1? Wanna say one was on here not to long ago, pulled out of a crate, but super rare? If I'm wrong then just assume I'm crazy and might be smoking crack lol

My response was actually somewhat serious. If you have your sights set on having a 427 why wouldn't you just go crate LS7? They are incredibly well built, extremely strong, state of the art (for a pushrod design) that in stock form would probably outflow and outperform any ltx 427 you could build. Hell you even get a warranty I beleive with the LS7s. God knows how much you would have to spend to build this ltx 427, and unless your Bill Gates son don't tell us money isn't a concern.
