8.72@158.8 Went to the track Sunday to test out some changes we made to the car and ended up running a new best. Didn't expect this to happen because the track was horrible so we decided to pull out a bunch of timing and it seemed to work pretty good. I knew the track looked familiar. I used to live in Mt. sterling KY. I've run my Nova many times there. Great run. Looks like the bump just past the 1/8 mile mark is alive and well.

Thanks guys. We have been fighting this thing all year and the car has been winning. Bent 2 valves the weekend before the shootout and kept standing up really bad so we put a msd 7531 digital ignition in it and seems to be working very well. Had a very mild tune in the car to get in down the track that day, we had 10 degrees of timing out of it and the best 60" of the day was a 1.33. We are seeing about 21 pounds of boost right now.

Tony, guess for 2012 you are going to have a little more competition. Though I am sure you won't let your reign of terror down without a fight.
nice to see a SC car at the top of the ranks. would def like to see the car on something other than a "mild tune".

with the way some people are going I'm sure there will be some soon... for now I will sit by on the side lines and watch you guys duke it out, looks like the coming season is going to be exciting for LT1's for a change!
