Default Mild build LT1 exhaust question on a 94Z

The previous owner cut the stock pipes all to hell taking out the tranny, now it's just a mess, the cat is junk anyhow and I am getting outragous prices to replace stock pipes. I will need everything from the manifold flanges back. At this point the engine is still with manifolds but I have headers up on the shelf. What is the best bet to put my car back together either on the cheap or the most cost efficient way?

The reason for not switching the manifolds, I am not sure in the future if I will go spray or boost. At this point I just want to get the basket case back together and go from there.

Just put on the headers you have, get a off road Y pipe, and get a cheap cat back...jegs has one for $250, the y pipe is less than $200.

Or if you stay stock there are lots of people with stock Y pipes laying around

Do you have inspections where you live?

Yes on inspections, but visual only, no emission tests. Don't really care anyway.

Eliminated the air, smog egr.... No cat is fine.

The headers I have are emissions compliant. Since I don't need them to be emissions legal I figured no need to molest them to get them to work.

Wife bought them for me for Christmas so I better be sneaky when I sell them.

Anyone have a stock y pipe or headers and y-pipe for cheap? Shorties are fine

Open to any suggestion that does not need cat.

I have a complete 94 exhaust from a Formula (tips are the only difference and can be swapped). Too bad you're way up from NC. Free parts, but shipping would be awful. Manifolds to tips, including a good stock cat.

Too bad your so far from TN or I have all the factory stuff just laying around albeit a bit sliced up but that isn't too hard of a fix. or I would pretty much let you have my stock stuff.
If your not worried about emissions then I would highly recommend doing headers with custom exhaust. I have ceramic pacesetter longtubes with custom Y pipe with a magnaflow merge and a dumped magnaflow 4x9 before the axle. I have about $700 invested including poly motor mounts.

Decided to stay with stock manifolds for the rear mount turbo build. I am looking for an aftermarket or stock Y pipe that will bolt up to the stock manifolds.

What do ya got............

Anyone with a stock Y out there? Happy to pay what the parts are worth plus whatever in shipping.

those manifolds are going to choke the life out of a turbo'd motor... do it right, once rather than spend twice for cheap stuff...

I was told to go with the manifolds over the headers to help with the heat retension and reduce turbo lag. Not trying to be cheap just following advice?

I am wide open to suggestions on which is the better way to go for a rear mount turbo with a 70mm .96.

Let me here it.

Rear mount turbos... they utterly confuse me, but I know great421 has one, maybe try asking him for some pointers?
