Lightbulb Thunderchicken w/ Advanced Induction 21deg CNC'd TFS Heads & HR Dyno Results

Thought you guys might like this. I was sorting through some of the results guys have emailed in and realized that I never posted this up.

It is a 397cid LT1
Ai CNC'd 21deg TFS Heads
Ai Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
Ai Street/Strip Ported GM LT1 Manifold
M6, 12-bolt, 4.11's
12:1 on 92/93 Octane

The car previously had another brand ported LT head, LT manifold, and HR cam & with the old setup put down 433rwhp. The new top-end put up gained from all the way down at 2500rpm when the pulls started (it was up 40-50lb/ft at ~2700).

V8Muscle has a run down on the car specs prior to the top-end swap here

Worth noting, the roughness of the graph is due to not applying dynojet's curve smoothing. Most of the graphs presented online are shown w/ max smoothing applied to make them more presentable.

Hope you guys like it!

-Phil

Nice
And I always considered those previous heads he had on there to be pretty respectable.
Phil, how much would you attribute to the 21 deg heads over what your 200cc ported LT1's would have done?

That is pretty impressive, it stays over 400 ft/lbs from the start of the pull all the way up to 6500ish.

Now, get back to work on my stuff!!

Awesome #'s! Love the torque down low. How is the drivability? Is that through the same exhaust and with the cutout open or closed?

Impressive results, I wouldn't say the previous combination was in any way optimized. Kinda curious what the LPE heads would have done with a proper camshaft.

That car has always been a favourite of mine if its the same car im thinking of which is a 93 Yellow Formula? Ran 10.98 if not faster iirc when he made the compilation he made on youtube. I guess we'll be seeing some more results from him this year when he goes to the track with it!

Many many moons ago I missed the chance to buy this car when Johnny Hunkins had it. He was selling that and the 88 formula at the time. Both were Gmhightech project cars. Hard top, crank windons no options. True muscle car.. That car is a tank.

Stout numbers from an HR setup...I'm very curious what it would have done with just a head swap. Those 21* TFS heads are badass, and what I was going to go with when I was planning a 355.
