Im looking into my options for a single row timing set for my 1994 with mods below. I have to swap back to a single row when i pull it apart for the 24x swap with the 96-97 timing cover. Whats everyone using for a quality timing set thats not overpriced and break the bank.

You're going to probably be limited to a stock set. What do the guys at EFI say?

buy the double roller timing chain and the billet cover imO

Well unfortunatly i already bought my 24x setup. The billit cover is $350 and the double row crank reluctor is another $250! Im not spending another $600 when i can spend 100-200 on a timing set and be done with it. Is there nothing else that will fit behind a 96-97 cover? BTW i am running an EWP if that helps.

Cloyes 9-3157 is what I'm using with the conversion.

I just ordered the 3157 for my engine build..

Read just recently on here that Cloyes told someone there are no power/strength differences between their single and double.

Progear has a nice single row set I think too.

No. Been too busy with work/family, you know all that goods stuff. Will have to wait when Spring gets here in Chicago. Anyways, that Cloyes 3157 timing set is perfect with the 96/97 timing cover and no clearance issue. You'll like the 24X LS pcm conversion.

The LT4 extreme set works under the stock cover on a 95 anyway...might be more expensive than the other suggestions.

I'm aware of the lt4 extreme but not fond of the pricetag hence why I made this thread. Thanks for the suggestion but I'm grabbing the cloyes 3157 this weekend.
