Default Thinking about getting an SS hood..

I found an SS hood here local for 425, guy said he'd go 375 for it, If I offer 350..maybe he'll budge. He states it's an original SS hood. You guys think it's worth the 350? Also since this is just the hood, I would like to make it functional with the SS air intake kit..The cheapest I've seen is the RK sport one does anyone know if it will fit? or where to fine a cheap one..
Thanks.

$350 is a steal. Buy it quick because if I find it, it will be sold.

Skip on making the hood functional and just use it for heat extraction purposes. A CAI would provide more gains than the SS airbox, not to mention they are difficult to find in good condition and usually go for tons of money, just for a plastic box.

Thats a great deal for an oem SS hood. And as mentioned, forget the functionality of the hood and get a good CAI for its proven hp and performance over the factory air intake of the hood.

Well guys picked up the hood today..Got for 360 which ain't bad. The condition of the hood to me seems to be in great shape no rubbing on the sides or anything like that. It's a fiberglass hood. I did try looking for a number or identification on the hood and found a number/letter on the passenger side towards the rear of the hood leter S and some numbers they were raised (you could feel em).. I hope it's oem..Ill get some pics and post em up. So if it where an aftermarket glass hood it woudn't have any identification correct??
