Default Scorpion Rockers ,bearings loose/moved

Having a little louder than normal valvetrain noise,so I started looking things over and found that the bearings are starting to push out towards the sides on a few. Glad I caught it early, anyone ever had this happen?

Not yet, will call today. Maybe time to switch. Would hate to have a bunch of needle rollers end up trashing the motor.

That's why I use COMP PRO MAG rockers. Once an aluminum body rocker has bearing/trunnion problems they are junk. The steel bodied Pro Mags are rebuildable through Comp Cams. Good luck

Apparently they have a lifetime warranty so the whole set will go back.

What series are they ? I've ran the Race Series for the last 4 years with no issues. They have a snap ring on each side to prevent such a mishap. Someone else posted the same problem a while back, a silver Scorpion rocker with no snap rings and the bearing just fell out. Thank God for the warranty. Just make sure the new ones have snap rings.

They are the clear/silver ones,I asked if they had any with snap rings, was told no,I'm guessing because they are self aligning.

I wonder if they don't have snap rings if they are the narrow body style? I had a set of narrow body here doing what you described, I sent them pictures, they told me to send my whole set in, I got a brand new set back. Great customer service.

How many miles on them when it happened? And I agree with you on the customer service.

Honestly mileage was unknown, they were on a used motor my friend bought for his Formula. Motor had problems and eventually through trading a known good motor I had, I got that motor. Looked at the rockers and decided they were not going back in the car in that state as they were doing what you described, the inner portion had shifted out somewhat, that inner ring and I could see the bearings.
