Not the cam or clutch I would run with a fresh build, but good luck.

If I was doing anything over a stock bottom end with factory heads/intake, non ported I would not run an off the shelf cam. While I do like my 306, there is much better cams out there to choose from. And I have not seen too many great stories on RAM, personally, I would go with a Mcleod single disk and stock PP and flywheel with the motor you are building.

My car is a stock bottom end, non ported heads, with a 306. It sounds good, and it makes good power for what it is. Would I use the 306 again? Not a chance in hell.

I mean, if you would be happy with something in the 350 rwhp range that doesn't make any power until over 3000 rpm, use the 306. It wasn't too bad with 4.10 gears, but after I blew up a 10 bolt I decided to not invest anymore money into one. My car is a dog below 3000 rpms. I drove a exhaust/intake automatic 05 mustang GT on a 9 hour trip last year, and honestly I had WAY more fun on the street than I have ever had in my car with the 306. But up top, the 306 runs like a bat out of hell.

really all im looking for is to have fun driving it and have more power/ badass sound. numbers dont mean anything to me bc when i want to make a lot of power il just get a diff motor and all that but i jsut want like red light to red light type stuff and then freeway also thats it and its stock other then air foil 90 elbow and a pro 5.0 thats it... i just got the cam, rr, pushrods, um springs, then some other stuff for the build then i got the pacesetters, a/c dlt, 25% under drive and i think thats it... i think im just going to post on here what i want out of it and have someone build me a top end and il sell all this crap i got i guess

Bore is not bad alittle scuffed up .30 bore and hone will fix, main concern is crank and that head.
I missed a gear at high rpm was late at night limped it back 30 miles home yes sounded just like marbles in a can.
