HP peak does seem low and what's with the torque nose dive?

What springs?

I know it has smoothing 5, but it doesn't look like electrical issues to me. IMO you have some other mechanical issues. My 227int cam didn't peak until 6100, and it had piece of **** no-name ported heads that were probably done in someones porch. You peaked early and your torque took a NOSEDIVE...

IMO it's not the springs. If it were power would fall off as much as the torque. It looks more like it's simply getting the **** choked out of it. Torque curve looks alot like a stock LT1 with a 150 shot... only lower.

could be a valvetrain control issue, if there was a minimum preload on lifters they wouldn't pump up and hang the valves, just bounce off the seat.

Curious on head work...

In my opinion, if everything checks out, then I would say the porting job on the heads are causing the down fall...

Do you think its an exhaust issue?? with the cutout open (red) is clearly up 10lb TQ threw out the curve.

If it were me I'd definitely change out the headers and try again.

thats the plan, i found a set of used pacesetter LT's for a good price & and the new guy next door to me has a 10 second ford lighting. We are going to figure out the ELE issues, throw on the LT's and il be back on the dyno soon.

But il prolly end up at the track next wkend. so il have a trap/E.T. before i get back on the dyno. I dont even really care what it puts down, I just want to know everything is running right, etc.

In all the header comparos I've read LT and mid length headers make similar peak HP. Where LTs shine is in lower rpm torque production. Now the 1.625 dia may be hurting you although capricemgr made good pwr with that size tube.
Are you going to Union Grove?

i had a bit of white smoke from the exhaust this am. It has been 70-75f outside for about a wk now and this am was 40-45 or so.

so i think its just condensation and maybe the fuel injector cleaner ive been using. but with this car if theres an issue it always turns out to be the worst case scenario.

should i be worried about this??

If you think the white smoke is more than normal cold weather condensation you could pressure check the coolant sys with a tester to see if you have a head gasket leak. How many miles do you have on the rebuild? To make sure everything is OK with the cylinders you could do a cyl leak down test and a cranking compression test. This info would be good also for baseline numbers to track engine health if you're going to race it alot.

You guys might want to look at the right side of the graph to see the torque scale. Its zoomed way in.

not burning oil, plugs look pretty good, there's more timing pulled than a stock car.

Ion was joking saying that this tune wouldnt need to pull any timing for a 100 shot.
