Sputtering after installing lt and erg block off plates

Smile Sputtering after installing lt and erg block off plates
Not sure what It could be but have been reading some other threads.. It's started sputtering after I installed them when I go in the high rpms.. Maybe gonna need a tune for sure but would that solve it?

Could be a burnt/loose plug wire.

Did you use either a gasket or sealant on the block off plate?
Hopefully your new headers just burnt a hole through a wire. inspect and re attach them all.

Did you remove the spark plugs before you started the header install? If not, there is a pretty good chance you cracked a plug or two.

Definitely check plugs and wires. Any backfiring?

It's impossible to install longtube headers w/out removing the plugs.

Were these headers coated? Would this cause the o2's to be in and out of closed loop operation?

I had the same problem today read this thread and went outside popped the hood and the 1st and 3rd wires on the PS side and the back wire on the DR side were not clicked all the way onto the coils and the #8 plug wasn't fully seated onto the plug. Hopefully this fixes the sputtering and the one embarrassing backfire at the intersection thanks for this thread saved me a lot of heartache hopefully
