Default 1993 oil pressure switch with long tubes?

I just put longtubes on my 1993 lt1 and the oil pressure switch is way to close to the primaries
On the header definitely going to melt. What can I do to fix this? Would a elbow work? Just to make it go off in another direction or is there a better way to handle it? I know 1993 is the only year or the fourth gens that it was in that spot under the drivers side header thanks guys!

Early 94s were that way too. The sensor was moved to the back of the block, behind the intake manifold during the 94 model year. That is where I would go with it.

I'm curious on this too.

I'm sure someone has lts on a 93 and early 94 and didn't reroute it, no?

I have dynatech LT's on my 93 and didn't have an issue with it hitting, although I did break it off on accident while installing them. It has plenty of clearance otherwise.

Isn't the sensor above the oil filter? Is it the wiring that's being affected, or the actual sensor itself? I will admit that it's been awhile since I've been under my car, but if it's the latter, that doesn't seem possible.

I used brass fittings on mine. I can't remember if I used a T-fitting or an elbow with an extension. If I have time I will take a look later this week & post a pic. As I recall I pretty much had to do it blind because the area was so tight. No fun, but it works.

Mine's still in the stock location, no issues.
I run Jet-Hot (Hooker) LTs

I'm getting ready to swap in a set of Kooks though, so this cound get interesting.

On my 93 when I added LTs I pluged the block where the stock location is and removed the plug off the back of the block and bought a brass fitting to plumb the sensor back there, pulled the wire from the harness loom, made it all up nice and pretty and never worried about it again.

lol you would think it would melt but hasnt for me yet, i pulled off the plastic on top of the plug to clear the headers with about 1/16" but after over 10k miles its still intact.
