Thumbs up 396ci LT1 Z28 Convertible - After 2.5 years...FIRST START VIDEOS!
The day is here! After 2.5 years of planning, buying, building, converting, fabricating...we finally have liftoff! Specs are in my sig...we are looking to push the limits/records of the STOCK PCM, STOCK OPTI, and PUMP GAS...She's got a BIG ol' cam and a lot of compression.

Many thanks to Joe (RamAir95TA) for his tireless help with every part of the build. You are the MAN. We wired the car from scratch and it fired on FIRST CRANK! Woohoo!

Also, thanks to: Dad, Davis Race Engines, TE Snyder Fabrication, Advanced Induction, PCMforless.

Dyno tune is April 4th with Bryan Herter. CAN'T WAIT! Enjoy the vids...the second one really lets you hear the engine best.

Yep, that sounds sweet, lol. Open headers? It has a great idle and revs real nice, any details on the valvetrain?

Yep, open headers.

12.6:1 CR, HR AI cam 25X/26X .6XX lift on a 106 lobe, Morel link-bar lifters, 1.6 rockers, etc.

His build is similar to mine in terms of compression and cylinder head choice, but his cam is FAR more aggressive than mine, yet we'll both be running pump gas just fine.

The ability to run on pump gas is ALL IN THE TUNE and ALL IN THE COOLING SYSTEM. Common misconceptions from folks who don't have access to both.
