Default LTX Shootout CALLOUTS! Multiple classes! See if you are inside

I'm not going to post the regular guys who already attend, this is for the guys with quick cars that would do very well, but haven't been back to the shootout in a while or have never attended.

Mod N/A

Joe O
Rick Abare
Warren Dempsey
Dave Odenahl
Todd Swith aka TWS
PUCK
05HD
Wicked94Z

Extreme Street N/A

Thunderchicken
BOLO
chas010
Geramie Ingram
3DFORMULA
SexyTransAm
RamAir95TA
SS MPSTR
gregrob
James Montigny
TravisMcGill2000
95mysticta
355z28
z_speedfreak
Dave357LT1
WS Sick
transbird95
Rob94Hawk
lethal bird
Matts94Z28
andrew ws6
95sscamaro
Lt4388Stroker
flyinZ
Z28Camaro30Ann

^^just about every one of these cars is a bottom-mid 11 second car in the heat. That class would be insane if they all made it along with the regulars like BADHAWK. I dig a little digging through some recent threads and looked at sigs, and there are tons of cars that fit into the class.

Street Stock

1SlowFormula
Shon Herron
bufmatmuslepants
Bersaglieri
jrock692
94LT1TA6spd
Blue85350
pillarpod

That would be one hell of a weekend if most of the guys could make it. More of a party/event then a serious race. Everyone that goes to it has a blast.

"LS1 PCM permitted with 100 lb. penalty."

No on the th400, so you will have to run Mod N/A or P/A

If I were in your shoes I would concentrate on ES N/A and then run Bracket or Index. Keep it N/A then you don't have to do anything to the car between rounds.

12.21 @ 116.4 1.899 60'

The car is by no means dialed in either. That was 6900 DA

A sea level calculator says that would put me at 11.19 @ 127

Easy high 10s with a better 60...

No matter though, I'm putting a TH400 in the car and going for 9.90s up here, and 9.xxx at sea level.

What's the field running in Mod P/A?

Well don't expect sea level DA at the shootout, it is usually hot. The DA was 3500-4000 last year. You'll shave an easy 1/2 second just sorting little **** out.

Mod P/A had 2 heavy hitters, Kyle Kline and BIG CAT. Those 2 guys were low/mid 9's. BIG CAT ran a 9.21 at 150+, but he stumbled a bit in the final and lost to Kyle's 9.4x. I'm not sure what the other guys in the class ran, I just remember those 2 guys. That 1000rwhp turbo car made some passes, but never hooked up at all.

Pretty sure MOD PA is flirting with 8's, isn't it?

Either way, would be sweet in seeing your car out there Greg. Too bad there are no TH's allowed in ES. But the rules are the rules!

They did have a vote on it. It was pretty close:

http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread...rule-vote-here

The majority voted to keep the 2011 rules in place.

That was far from an objective pole IMO.

There was more bickering, bitching and miscommunication in the thread than necessary, and technically more people voted to allow them, given the three choices.

I feel the rules should be geared towards car count...

Its like someone who installs a TH350 or TH400 for better reliability, builds themselves out of a class... Not everyone who wants a more reliable trans than a POS 4L60E is running 8s

One of the problems is trying to get the classes separated. If you allow a th350 or 400 and you also allow LS1 pcm's, then what is the difference between ES and Mod? Just the weight and a single plane? That's the fine line they had to tread. It sucks, but build your car for you, and then show up where it fits. Half of the guys that say they are going to show up don't anyway.

I'm not on the list... guess I'll just sneak in the backdoor to take everyone's $$$.
