Default Must be doing something right !!

After cc306 cam le1 lt4 heads and ported lt4 intake swap 30lb injectors lt headers and 410 gears and pcmforless mail tune for now. I broke a motor mount and oil sending unit haha never thought gears would help that much. I'm going to throw her on the Dyno next week hoping to hit the 400hp mark

You should make 400whp with no problem, assuming the mail tune isn't too far off. The cam in my sig isn't very different from a 306 and I made 380 on a Mustang dyno which typically reads slightly less than a Dynojet. Pair that with a set of 190+cc heads like the LT4's and 400 whp should be easy to reach.

Hopefully pcmforless' tune is close. I considered another mail order tune from madtuner.com but ended up having the car tuned on the dyno with JET DST instead.

Well most just cammed cars will run in the mid to high 12s. I'd say you be low 12s high 11s. Any rear suspension what tires?

I don't see any reason why you can't hit 400 RWHP with that setup...just curious, what sort of gas mileage do you get with your PCM for less tune? I have somewhat similar cam with their mail order tune and get 11 MPG I need a dyno tune bad it seems...

^Nice results! I have this same cam in my new motor....mines a 383 though with ported heads....I'll be pretty pissed if I don't hit 400 RWHP minimum now lol. How much power did your dyno tune pickup over the baseline run?

I would use this opportunity to upgrade to some poly motor mounts and a poly trans mount....well worth it.

Can you specifically explain "well worth it"?

LOL....they don't break constantly like the rubber factory POS trans mounts. I only broke a motor mount once in 14 years and over 100K of abuse with a 6spd....I could immediately tell a big difference once poly motor mounts were installed to match my trans mount. Yea, you get a little more vibration in the car than stock even at idle; but the engine has much less movement side to side when you rev it. Rubber flexes too much IMO...my LS1 car has factory rubber motor mounts (with a poly trans mount) and you can see the motor having more side to side movement when revving than the LT1. Not to mention the huge improvement in more positive shifts due to far less movement of the shifter when driving aggressively....I guess that's of no concern to auto cars. Bottom line; my car just flat out puts the power down better with stiffer motor and trans mounts period; no questions asked....plus they cost very little more than rubber OE mounts.

Thanks man. You'll probably be closer to 450-500hp with that kind of setup. Just a guess, I know there's a ton of variables though.

I never did a baseline run, I used a mail tune from madtuner for everything before I installed the throttle body and cam. The car did consistently go 12.8's at around 111 mph with a 1.9 60', and hopefully I'll get to the track this weekend to see what the cam, throttle body, and dyno tune did for me.

The tuner did take the car up to around 4000rpm's on the dyno in the beginning for data logging purposes. It ran pig rich at idle and as soon as he'd rev it up it would lean out a ton, so he played it safe in didn't spin it very high until he started making changes to the speed density and mass air flow tables.

I don't blame MadTuner for the tune being so far off as it was only set up for my headers, cold air intake, and roller rockers, so naturally it'd be waayyy off when I added the cam and throttle body. In all honesty though, I wouldn't rely on a mail order tune for anything more than just bolt-ons. Dyno-tuning is just so much more accurate and safe.
