Default car has a slight shake at high speeds

hey guys what could cause a shake at high speeds, 90+ i can feel it through the seats and stick shift. it goes right away around 75-80? was told that it could be the drive shaft but multiple opinions is always better then one.
thanks fellas.

I would guess it's the drive shaft.

i would think you would be able to duplicate the vibration at the same rpm no matter which gear or mph you were at if it were the driveshaft. if you can't then i would do a good tire inspection, checking for cupping or uneven wear and tread condition. followed with a rotate if need be and for sure a balance job.

I have heard of many Lt1's drive shafts starting to shake at the 90 mph + range. You could take it off, take it to a shop and have it balanced, or just buy a aftermarket one that can hold more power.

You could have it off in 10 minutes, very easy.

Most of the time, its a drive shaft imbalance. Once you have ruled out the DS and the other simple obvious things, look here:

Remove, take it to a shop that can put it on a balancer and determine if its balanced or not. Short of that, no other way to accurately do it.

It can be re-balanced by the shop.
