I've been real busy lately, but I have been laying some more sound deadener, and doing a little bit here and there on the truck.

My dads GTO made it into a photoshooot for a calendar also, and his buddies 69 camaro , I snapped a few pics with my phone.

Work has been slow and steady on the car. I finished the rattle trap on the whole floor, and have started covering the seams with aluminum tape. I started laying down the heat barrier mat on the front of the floor, and will also be doin the whole inside of the firewall. Also layed down the first coat of primer on the rear of the car.

Looks real good. How well is that sound deadening stuff supposed to work? Looks light too.

Thank you! I did some research on it here on the boards, and it is supposed to work pretty well. Shipping weight on 50 sq ft was 23 lbs, and it supposedly takes 120 sq ft to do it all, so approximately 60 lbs added. I figure with that and the 6 point, I will add 140 lbs, but I have or will be removing AC, all ducting, spare tire, some wiring, full tubular suspension, swapping to a turboed LS. So it's a give and take deal for me. And with plans for 700+ rwhp, and a goal of 10.50, I don't think I will notice it much trying to achieve my goals. I just want a fun street car I can drive to work whenever I want

I put a ton of that dampening material and some deadening material as well as extra padding under the carpet plus spray foam filled all the voids/cavities in the body of mine to reduce noise from stereo and exhaust. I will tell you the 'dynamat' type stuff by itself does wonders. Just take any large piece of metal and tap on it and listen to the resonance noise.. then put a piece of that stuff on it and you wont get the resonance, just a thud followed by silence. very worth it if you dont mind the weight.

I will also be filling the wheel wells with spray foam to try and cut down on road noise from the rear tires.

Made some more headway, getting closer to being back on the road! I finished all of the sound deadener that goes under the carpet. Test-fit the carpet around the 6 point. The rest of the interior will have rattle trap layed down on it this week, until I run out. Time to place the final order on it. Also gotta finish the heat insulation mat on the firewall. Will be painting the 6 point this coming weekend, gonna go with black hammertone. After that, just gotta re-install the pedals, bleed the clutch, finishing modifying the heater box, and the car will be on its way to going back together.

The 6 point is painted, just about time for the interior to be put back in.

Thanks! I love white f-bodies. I miss my car being white. While in college the car got banged up a bit, and shooting it in flat black over a weekend outside my dads shop was the cheapest alternative to making it look halfway decent again. Can't wait til it's white again.

I began putting the interior back in this past week. And it lives once again! Started up first crank with no check engine light.

I ran all of the wires nicely, and the interior is just about all back together. I wish I had the money for some 6LE seats, but the budget is too tight at the moment.

Did some work to her last weekend, the LT1 will be forever pulled this coming saturday, and the underhood/underbody restoration begins. So much room for an intercooler now
