Default 396 LTX For sale.720hp NA Built For Nitrous!!!

Well first off i really hate to sell this but im trying to buy a house so im just seeing if there is any interest... i built this with the intention of being the fastest nitrous lt1 in the world...not one single penny was spared in building this prodject and it was built with some of the most knowledgable people in the world behind me.... i built this engine while attending the School of Automotive Machinist (www.samracing.com) and with them behind me you know everything has to be 100% correct....i have almost 19k invested in this motor in PARTS alone and being the machine work was free if you had to have this motor built you would prob have another 5k in machine work in it....

well ill start to break down the price list and parts break down as best as i can:

The only Time that is on this motor was on the Engine dyno at school. it had 5 gallons of 110 octane ran through it and it made 680hp at 7,300 rpm and and 522.8 ftlbs tq at 6,400 rpm...this was with out my carb on it and with no vacuum pump... i feel it should make 720ish once broken in fully and tuned some more with my carb and vac. pump on it.

So in your thread title you are advertizing 720hp when the only measured data you have is 680hp?

Made 680 with no vacuum pump and a diff carb. I have a Braswell Dominator for it. Which if you know anything about carbs its the baddest **** out. It was over 3k just for the carb.

It will easily make 720. There was about 60 mins of run time on it. Im sure we could have found another 10 just by playing with it some more but we were out of time. Vacuum pump will pick up an easy 20... Carb will prob pick up another 10-20...

Killer build, hope whoever buys it gets to put it to good use. Those 215RR heads are like freaking Unicorns these days. You will probably have an easier time selling though if you separate the top end from the shortblock, high end parts like this usually sit for a long time but that head/intake as a combo would probably sell pretty quickly.

You don't need domed pistons to run 12.5:1.

I will sell it whole or not at all... Its been sitting for 7 years since i built it.. I will eventually get it running if no one buys it.

Wow how awfully familiar that looks
Nice build, care to share some knowledge with me?
Got mine running but it's fuel injection and having a hard time finding tuner,
What's all involved to swap to carb
