Looking for a clean platform to start another build...Found this car locally:

The ad doesn't list the price, but I called and they want 8K for it...I'm thinking this is a little much for a 93....Its clean and has low miles, but 8K????

I have a modded out the *** and clean 88 Fox Body Mustang I'm gonna trade I think..A car like this goes for about 5-6K around here....What would you offer?...KBB says its worth $5961

 

I wouldn't give any more then 6,500, nice clean looking car, love the hawk hood but does it have the correct air box?

 

sorry no way in hell would i pay that for that car. maybe 5k for top price. for 8k i would get the ls 4th gen

In all seriousness, $5k, and only if there's a ram air box under that hood. Especially if the salesman doesn't know the fact that WS6 wasn't a factory option from 93-95. His ignorance is your gain.

 

I'm local. You could buy mine and spare yourself the $ on mods and other stuff and buy an almost turn-key 10-second car.

 

Clean car, but I wouldn't pay that for it. Hell I wouldn't even use that car for modding heavily.

RamAir, your car is a beast man. I'd get rid of mine and buy yours in a heart beat if I could afford it.

 

Hood is aftermarket. It has a K&N Air Intake.

I was thinking 35 4k tops. At the end of the day it is nothing more than another lt1 that people just don't want anymore.

 

Love your car...I'm just not looking to spend that much..Thats why I was gonna trade my Fox, or sell it privately if I can't get 5500 for it on trade.

 

Why dont you try and trade your car? I would love to find a clean notch to trade

 

I plan to try. I took it there with me today, but unfortunately their appraiser wasn't there. I gotta go back Monday. I'd like them to give me 5K for it and sell me the Bird for 6 out the door, but I'm sure they won't come down. Its one of those small dealers that gets a semi-cool car like this in every once in a while and acts like they have a ZR-1 on their lot and won't part with it until some fool who doesn't know any better comes along and buys it for what they are asking.

 

I'd trade in your Fox for the Bird + cash.
