Default I hosed down my engine...

I just washed down my LT1 engine down in my 1996 Caprice with this gunk engine degreaser then I hosed the engine down. Now my car will not shift out of first gear and it's idling pretty high and rough. Any ideas on why it would be doing this? I've been driving the car around town for the past hour and no changes.

Please tell me you had enough common sense to put a plastic bag over the Opti..

I think the inside of the motor is dirty too.. dump a bottle of degreaser right in that Throttle Body

I have had my Lt1 for 9 years and NEVER did my baby suffer from getting pressure washed! Where the hell is your boot, filter and MAF????????

USE compressed air and a towell to dry your opti.... unplug the opti harness blow air in there, remove the connectors from the TPS and IAC blow air in them aswell.... Remove the coil wire from opti blow air in there too.... fire it up and let it just sit and IDLE for a while then promise to never do this again without being nice to your opti!!!!!!!!!!

HaHaHa! I can see the degreaser sitting INSIDE the throttle body. This is a joke, right?

Just open the throttle body and put the hose inside turn on the hose then turn on the car and should clear up.

Find a nice, open stretch of concrete wall and repeatedly slam your head against it. That'll fix it.

Gunk degreaser #1 fail... might as well soak your engine in diesel fuel, have someone follow you to a junk yard, i think you smoked that LT1... it is now internally water cooled.
