Got Tuned today...Now need experts help???
So I got my dyno tune today and the results were not what I expected.. How do you guys feel about this? 380 rwhp - 351 tq
My initial goal was to try to hit the bottom 11's on motor, possibly 10.99. However after today I'm feeling a little disappointed in my setup. Had a bunch of people estimating my setup around 420-460 which would have been great by me after seeing numerous cars running that HP and hitting 10's. Is something in this setup no matching or what? What do you guys think is going on or do you think my problem is, if any? Thanks in advance gents.
By the way tune and motor seem to be great so no fault on the tuner or builder in my opinion.. I had some great guys to deal with on that note..

I think most of your loss is in the converter because with a turbo 350 trans the converter is probably a non-lockup type. Do you know the slippage percentage of the converter and what gears are in your car, also what rear is in the car 9", S60, 12 bolt or stock? Also what size injectors and what fuelpump do you have?

I would say run it before being too disappointed but at the same time those making the much higher estimates for you were basing those estimates on marketing and benchracing and not on some actual documented result.
I hope the edecrap intake is heavily worked? If not that should be on your short list of culprits, not 40+hp but on a stock engine the edelbrock stuff is not shown to be an improvement and some tests look like it might hurt power.

So to answer a few questions for you... I'm running a sock rear with 3.73 gears and a 275/60-15 MT street tire. Running a Walbro 255 pump with 42 lbs injectors. All the fuel seems good. Psi checks out all the way through the pulls to 6300.
Now since everyone said it and the hard on I had to day.. I went to a local 1/8 mile track.. here's the numbers :-)
8.28 @ 86 mom
2.05 sixty foot
The car felt strong coming out the whole with a little spin, but when shifted to second it falls on its face and feels sluggish as hell. I shifted at 6100 and it would drop second gear to 4000 rpms and slowly pull back up..
This was the first time out on a new motor with a little less than 200 miles on it. However comparing to my came only setup before its only 4mph quicker and 3 tenths of a second faster. Cam only setup also made 318 / 322 with the same rear end, cam only, bolt ons, through a 4l60e and a 2800 converter.
So now what do you guys think?

I made 358rwhp, I ran a 6.99 in the 1/8 in the heat 2 weeks ago. In all honesty I don't think the numbers were accurate
With that cam you should be shifting around 6800-7000 with it dropping to 5800+ on the shift. That shift extension is killing you, but raising shift points won't help it too much, you need more converter. I'd run something in the 4400 range.

Cars that trap 86 in the 1/8th are typically in the high 7's. A 2.05 60-foot isn't very good, there's a lot of room for improvement there. As far as your dyno numbers, I don't think the th350 is the culprit. A dedicated nitrous converter will be very tight and not have a lot of slippage like a loose n/a converter. Was it a Mustang dyno by chance? They read significantly lower.

I wouldn't want that motor dropping below 5500. Is the cam advanced? That cam should have a broader peak. Definitely needs more converter, a 4400 should be able to cruise at less than 2300 no problem.
