EFI 24x 355 LE/AFR Running Video
Just got the car back from tuning and figured id host a video for everybody to see. Finished the swap back in May but had a few unexpected breaks such as ewp bearing fail, blew the t56, injector fail, new valves springs due to float, rocker, wrong plugs, and im sure a few other things im sure i cant remember right now off the top of my head. Its home now and running better then ever and reliable
Last year it put down 376rwhp/377tq with some of the issues above and i hope to improve on that after final dyno tuning. Just a matter to make time for that sometime this year when I can hook up with my tuner at the same time to dial it in. The idle right now is set around 900rpm which i plan to fix down the road at some point just to get a little more chop out of the cam minor fix. The idle also seems to hang a bit after i blip it which from what ive heard is a common issue with aftermarket tbs and this swap. Im not going to switch back to a stocker so just have to live with it.

Thanks for the compliments fella's its been a long journey so far and hope to have less issues in the future!
My AC is removed as you can see so i modded the stock bracket to move the alt down to where the AC is. It is not a Speed Inc bracket i cant justify spending 4-500 for a stupid bracket when i can build one for 20 in hardware and metal off a stock bracket and does the same thing.
The TB is a Professional Products TB. Its cheap and works nothing special about it really. Would like to upgrade to billet AS&M or Holley down the road just for appearance factor.
As for before and after its not huge night and day difference but it does run alot smoother and pulls hard. I was planning on doing this swap down the road but i ran across a used kit in the classifieds last year and snagged it and saved some cash. I did this swap because i wanted away from the opti. Before i put the motor in last year i had nothing but problems with non vented opti's. When i put the motor in last year i swapped to a vented setup and it ran mint for the 5-6k i put on it last year before i pulled it in working order. The added bonus of using Hp Tuners is a milestone and the fact its now coil on plug and obd2 it makes troubleshooting much easier. Its also much easier to change a coil on the valvecover then it is to rip apart the front of the motor to replace a opti. Total i have about 600-700 into it after i sold off my old pcm, opti, icm, coil, plug wires, etc. Typically when finding used parts in the classifieds and making your own wires, coil brackets, and repin your engine harness it can be done for around a $1,000 +or- before tuning.

Thanks Bolo for the recommendation of the timing set so far is working mint!
Youtube has a new feature i guess that has shakey fix option you can add to the video so figure id give it a shot as it couldnt hurt to fix some of the shakes while moving around. The camera sucks so i wish the sound quality was a bit better when i revved it up but you get the idea.

Hey man, we talked a while back. Congrats on the 24x setup, bet your happy to get away from the opti lol. Ever consider this before you switched to the 24x? http://www.delteq.com just found out about them last week, might try it on my car.
Car sounds mean, what rpm do you shift it at? Any plans to track it this year?

The delteq still has to work with a functioning opti in place even though your not using it for spark its for signal. I have heard some with great results some with the not so good. The EFI 24X fully deletes the opti entirely!
Last year got the motor in and never got to the track and this year ive had nothing but problems breaking **** and driven it maybe 3 times as right now i have a bad lifter. Might even consider parting the car out over the winter as im just sick of never driving it and **** breaking with a highly modded car. Would love to get out to the track atleast once before i decide to part with it.
Before the 24x swap my idle was set around 750 and chopped a bit more. Now its around 900-1000. Your cam is alot bigger then mine and even at 1000 im sure it sounds nasty still. Just miss the chop it did have but just wont happen as we ran into stalling problems.

Thanks Bizzatch ive seen your car grow over the years... did you sell it? I dont see it in your sig anymore is why i ask. Its got all the right parts just sick of the never ending tinkering and breaking parts which adds up fast. Almost want a stock car again so thats why im thinking about getting out of the highly modded game.
