My buddy has a 95 Z28 with an intercooled pro charger kit. I am not to sure what pulley or model but I know the kit has twin high flow intercoolers. He just picked up an LT1 from a mid 90s Corvette with 35k miles to swap in his Camaro. Can the Corvette LT1s stock internals hold up the boost? Its a Sunday car that wont be drag raced but im sure he will get on it here and there.

Not all Corvettes in the 90's were LT4s.

not worth it. heads n cam can take you to 400rw and be kinda reliable. 6lb should make around 400rw but it could pop anyday.
you could say the same thing with putting a cam in a older, hi mileage car too. but the chance of blowing it under boost is way way greater.

head and cam cars are great. but to compare a boosted to a NA isnt apples to apples. A boosted car will make a tremendous amount of torque across the entire rpm range. As the saying goes hp sells cars, torque wins races.

Whats the old saying, A bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush.
keep the supercharger , get it tuned, have an extra block with stock crank, a good set of rods and some forged pistons put together waiting for the day.

I would tend to agree with the idewa of seeing through what you have.
That said boost on a completely stock engine wont make a lot of power and wont make enough torque to have you winning a lot of races. You will get a nice boost in power without any change to low speed manners though.

Thank you for all of your input everyone!
The car was bought complete with the pro charger kit on it and the stock LT1 blown at a very inexpensive price. The Corvette LT1 was purchased at a very inexpensive price as well. Money is not the issue here but the thought of do we just throw the stock Corvette motor in or put forged parts in it. We are looking for reliability on a Sunday driven car that can handle the power when needed from time to time. It does have bigger injectors and an upgraded fuel pump as it was installed with the pro charger kit.

It can last if done right.
