Default 93 TA What To Do About A Tune

Here is the specs on the Engine side of the car:

1) Long Tube Headers 2 1/2" Collector to Single 3" Split Core Dynatech Muffler Dump IFoA.

2) EGR Delete

3) Air Pump Delete

4) Cat Delete

5) Will Install new O2 Sensor this week

6) Snorkel Delete

7) Will probably do all of the normal Freebie and Easy Bolt-On mods soon.

Who should I get to do a tune for me and what can I expect to pay for such a service? Do I have to send anything into them etc? As far as I know, my car is on the stock tune.

Madz28.com or PCMforless does tunes to I believe there is a few sponsors that do mail order tunes. I here Moe is a really good stand up tuner but I am not sure about his contact information or if he does mail order tuning.

I have similar mods on my '93 and went with a PCMforless tune. Works great for me.

What does a tune from them cost and what is involved in the process?

http://www.pcmforless.com/

You just fill out a ordersheet online with some general info on your setup and then you send your PCM in to them. They charge 190.00 (175.00 + 15.00 shipping).

For a 1993 and earlier, they are asking for a Broadcast Code? What is that?

It is the three letter code printed on the memcal piece that is under the lid inside the computer. I believe it is printed on the outside of the box ( ie bnx, brl ect). As far as 93, its a little diferent. U dont send in computer. U fill out ordersheet pay 150 and they send u a curciut board that your chip plugs into. My turn around time is 5-7 days. The great thing about it is if u make changes it only cost 50 to reflash. I gained .2 or twenty horse on the first flash with boltons. Pcmforless has always been good to me. Oh if u can datalog and send them the file they can really dial it in for u. Good luck.

Where is the chip at on a 93?

Secondly, if you have the mods done that I have listed and don't have a tune for them how does the engine react? I've never driven my car as I got it with the M6 taken out (I removed it for the cars owner and he gave me the rest of the car) so I have no experience with this car. I do have the car running but the exhaust has not been finish welded yet so I can't drive it yet to get a feel for the car but it seems to be running rich with a slight miss, but it's hard to tell if it's actually a miss without a load on the engine!

You will need to do the heated o2 conversion and ONLY run delco afs75's .. This point is tried and true .. You don't send the ECM to anybody.. There is a removable door/plate on the ECM where the chip is snapped onto the main ECM board .. You need an adaptor from moates to plug the new chip into ... I have a good bolt on 93 tune for you if you want.. It's been fine tuned so it should be damn close to what u need... Pm me you like, I'm quite in tune with my 93 383 lt1.

Basically you just wire in 12v to the correct wire.. I tapped the fuse/relay box for 12v when IGN key is switched on.. Google or search here for diagrams .. It's easy and makes for better idle ,tuning and milage ... I went back to delco afs75's be sure to use only them.. All other brands rich/lean thresholds are off and cause issues..

I guess the speeddenSity.org site is no longer any good. Where can you buy the wiring kit or should I just make my own harness?

Easy enough to just make one , just be sure to solder the ECM wire to o2 splice you make aft of the OEM weather pack connection.. Crush tubes just won't do
