Default LE 21 degree trickflows and what cam?

i am looking to add these LE 21 degree trickflows to my 383.i talked to Llloyd about the camshaft and he told me to stay with my custom 242 248. i want to go bigger but stay in my pcm 7000rpm .by the way i was running the le 2 heads at first. please chime in on camshaft recommendation.trying to go faster than the 7.30s that i ran in the eigthed mile.

If Lloyd told you to stick with the cam you have do you think he possibly knows what he is talking about.

Any bigger you might need to spin over 7k. Ask AI but they spec. on the smaller side with duration and low lsa. Where are you shifting now?

What was the 1/8 mile mph and 60ft time?

A stroker f-body should be able to run better even with "budget" heads and a smaller cam.

I suspect YOU need to sort out the car more than buy more engine parts.

Or are you at altitude? A signature would help a lot.

You have the MPH just not the 60ft.

My car is good for mid to low 1.5s 7.3 and 93mph in the 1/8th. Smaller engine, bigger car I assume, ported GM heads and a 228 intake duration cam.

Point being your cam is more than big enough, hell maybe a bit large on the duration already, and chassis tuning is what you need to run faster, just get your head repaired if you can figure out why it came apart, that is not a normal thing to have happen.

thanks for the advice.i will work on the chassis.but i figured the 21 degree trickflows ported would need more cam then the stock ported le2.my goal is to run low elevens on motor and spray it to a high 9s.

You should be able to run low 11s with those le2 heads and your current cam with 383 cu.

No the Trickflows will not need more cam, actually it is possible they might shift your powerband up higher.
