Default Ls1 Slp Air intake box in a lt1

is it possible to put the slp ls1 box and lid in a lt1 car has it been done yet??

any pics?

It's been done COUNTLESS times. Try a search. Several install guides exist.

Depends on whether or not your modifications warrant more air than what an aftermarket CAI can offer.

I gained 2 tenths and 1.8 MPH over a 300.00 cai!!!! The cowl Hood in your sig pic may be able to house the complete Ls1 upper shroud with lid. If not you can cut the core support as I did for the lid to fit into and make a small support for the filter to sit in.. It was well worth the 45 minutes and 75.00 price I paid....

u think ill have the cleanrance i dont wana cut my rad support

hes asking 125 for a slp lid factory and new filter and the base..

is it worth it?

It's not worth it if you do a hack job like most people on here do. If you can do a clean install with the LS1 base it's worth it IMO. I didn't notice any SOTP gains until I put the SLP ram air kit on though.

I did the "hack job" but it fits fine under my factory hood.

Btw this won't solve your missing hp issue.
