I believe its 7643, which is the desireable lt1 casting for porting.

LT1 heads wont have the large coolant crossovers next to the intake ports on either end

Need to take them back because they do have the cooling ports? The casting numbers can be deceiving sometimes just due to casting quality. 6-8-3 can all easily be mistaken for eachother.

So you're doing a gen I engine but you have LT1 heads?

You might consider adapting the heads? Is the gen 1 going to be using say the TPI injection system? If so LT1 heads and intake are a pretty meaningful upgrade. They do need to be drilled for the coolant crossovers and distributor.

Couple options. I believe there is a Vortec rearmount distributor that can work with the LT1 pcm or the TPI could be made to work especially if you already like that system.

Makes absolutely zero sense to go through the hassle of putting LT1 heads on a SBC block especially when the selection of heads for SBC outnumbers the LT1 20 to 1 and at a MUCH cheaper cost.

A set of LT1 heads are cheaper than a set of aluminum sbc heads since they will most likely be aftermarket.
