I see a few great posts in this thread that give a good point to why we don't have a hardcore forum.

Does anyone know why some of the fastest, most experienced heavy hitters that have been around forever stay away from the tech threads now?

Sikora, myself, Taner, Brisson, Ellis....etc.

We used to frequent the forums and help with tech threads. There is a big reason we don't anymore and it is not because we keep secrets with our combo's.

any guesses?

Why would you need a hardcore section on an engine that's just an sbc and the chassis is the same as any other 4th gen out there? Not to mention the aftermarket support and development for the lt1 is dead and has been for many years.

It's because you none of you guys run the right parts and all just have race cars so your opinions don't count, duhhhh.

Ha I couldn't really tell what the label was for that box.

I've run all my motors on an engine dyno, dont have much use for a chassis dyno. I generally don't care what the peak numbers are, but it does help to find all the leaks and really dial it in.

I going to go with: Really bad advice based on little to no actual experience.

Is it because of trolls that constantly tell you that you dont know what your doing, even when you are proving you ARE doing it?

I'm not really sure to be honest. Care to tell us? Newbies and basic questions have always been around, so that can't be it.

The cars have gotten much cheaper over the years, so perhaps the type of people buying them has changed and fewer are really interested in much hardcore tech and putting serious money and time into them.

Like I stated earlier, the LT1 crowd has been getting smaller for about a decade now, and interest in the platform seems to be dying. Really a shame, because these are great cars and the platform can be a lot of fun and very rewarding when done right.

It takes money to go fast. Money takes a good job. Good job takes time.
Or your bored with the lack of contenders for the "titles" ?

Why be serious?

I would love for a solid forum for forced induction LT1 stuff, but, thats a dream. Whereas there is a million and a half cheap turbo with crappy hot side LS1 builds. So again, why be serious. Any good tech found on on the internet is bout 5 years old and the build was prob parted out long before it ran decently.

Outdated motor that people seem to be proud of making it run 10s NA, la de da

No moar Mindgame or similar folks
