Ive been to the last three years worth of shootouts, and I (not saying I know all) had not heard anything about that incident.

2008 LTX Shootout Results
I suppose a multipage **** fest is completely different and should be dismissed as normal legitimate rigamaroo from those "heavy hitters..."

Just trying to understand.

I fully understand how things can go on this forum. I don't care about the thread or who said what. It was just a mere example as to how "heavy hitters" can be responsible for **** talking and why I should not be labeled as Satan's red headed step baby.

No it wasn't. Not according to what was claimed to be said in the drivers meeting. Read the thread.

We see the same guys posting in every thread degrading other setups and playing the "your car sucks" card.

90% of the threads you are involved in I see negative comments. Your not the only one. There are others.
SS RRR is one of the biggest pieces of **** in this section, period. There's a few others but he's up at the top. I loved when he got his pink "man crush warning" and he went and buried his head in the sand for 3 weeks and never posted, lol.

I am relieved you were able to finally spill the beans as to why you've been absent for so long, even though I and others already knew the answer.
Tony is extremely helpful and cool to talk to. A lot of guys in here have met him in person and he's very down to earth and friendly. For you to take a shot at him just shows how miserable you must be.

Just as the guy stated above, he is afraid of starting new threads in fear of little bitches like you coming in and bashing his thread.

If you ever would show up to a shootout, you would see I don't want to be treated any different than others. Never have and never will.
I've been saying the same thing for years. He doesn't just have 5000 posts on here. He has thousands of posts on LOTS of car forums, all with the same attitude he displays in here.

Guaranteed you are the one who is the clueless moron. Five thousand posts in ten years? What is wrong with you?
No, the problem lies with you whining about me stepping on the toes of some of your buddies and you considering them "everybody." It's total crap, but not surprising from one who feels us "commoners" should bow to your holiness...
You call Tony a clueless moron, lol. That speaks volumes about what a ******* retard you are. He has an 8 second LT1 car you have a mid 11 second LT1 car. Your car is a total joke. 396 with a big bad solid roller, that runs like a 350 with mild heads and a cam. Tony organized the LTX shootout along with a few others, you couldn't get 3 people to show up in a parking lot.

I remember you telling someone how a tranny brake worked and you were totally wrong, lol. You were adamant about it too. Gee, maybe keep your mouth shut since you've never owned one or used one? You love to give all of this advice but your own car is a ******* turd.

You're done so by golly I better be done. Do you feel you must control everything? Of course you're done because you know what stupid **** you are trying to claim. Again, you want to lamely carry on and splatter how I am the bad guy? Before you start in on your smear campaign I'd suggest doing some research, Senator.
You've never done **** as far as "track gatherings" go. You ran mid 12's for years way back when. Show up at a local track amatuer night, big freakin deal. Did you show up at Cecil last year? Nope. Right in your backyard too. Maybe we'll see you on November 17th? Nope, you won't show either. We all know why too. NOBODY wants you there. Sit in the stands and watch us run is all you'll ever do, or wait until someone posts up about it.

Not at all. BUT If you raced on a regular basis you would under stand what was going on and WHY someone getts so heated. It has nothing to do with how fast the car is but how important the race is or in fact just good sportsmanship

yb is a wealth of information. Not a lot about LT1's specifically but anything else related to going REALLY fast down a racetrack, plus some CRAZY off-topic stuff.

*edit* Depends on the car too, 10s with nitrous isn't hardcore at all to me IMO. I could have hit my stock shortblock build with a 125 shot and ran 10s all day, and it wasn't anything special.
I'd be out...even if I used my 61's timeslip. It's only 7.30's in the 1/8th and 60' was only 1.76. That was with a few different problems and I haven't fixed them or went back due to playing with LT1's too much. The car was more "hardcore" when it had less power and only ran 8.0's in the 1/8th with a 1.80 sixty foot. How so? Because I drove it everywhere - everyday on 4.88's....carried my slicks, tools, and floor jack in the trunk (with room to spare) and drove to and from the track 26 miles each way when I ran. It would ****** the tires in the air with the slower combo. Even though the last time was only .04 faster in the 60'....it left sluggishly for the first 20' or so.
To me hardcore can be many different things. Sticking with your LT1 even if it takes years to finish/accomplish is one of them to me.

This^^ Especially that last line. Just because the LT1 has been out of production for 15 years and there is little aftermarket development for it doesn't mean that noone comes up with anything new.
I'm still hopeful that a certain someone finishes their opti replacement that will work with the stock pcm. I hope that hasn't been mothballed.

I can honestly say ive never once thought "man that guy is so stupid cause hes not running as fast as I am nor have nearly the knowledge cause im so smart". To me its really very simple. If you see a thread post and you can help, go for it. If you dont want to, move on. But honestly you guys running 9's/low 10's NA on motors YOU build, how much more can you really learn? FWIW thanks to every last one of the LTx techs either this site or others that have saved me $$ and headache by helping out.....VERY much appreciated. Thank you.
Agreed....except the thinking that the heavy hitters can't learn more. Smart racers/engine builders are always looking for a new idea....even if it's from a newb. It can happen.....kinda like when a kid says something and their parent thinks "why did I never think of that?"
