header gaskets problems
header gaskets problems just spent a hr searching and going thru all seven pages of threads looking for a answer to a question ive seen on hear alot of times. So hear it is best header gaskets and bolts for a 383 lt1. Just want something that works dont care how much it costs. Thanks in advance for ur time.
I also use the ARP 1 inch stainless 6 point bolts, they won't rust and you can get a open end wrench on them if you need to. I use Felpro 1470 gaskets as they fit my headers the best. Regardless of which gaskets you choose make sure your header flanges are flat and true as welding tends to warp them, especially in the area of the center two pipes. The flatter the flanges are the better chance you'll have of them sealing well.

I have the Percy's soft aluminum gaskets and they work great. I used the bolts that came with mid Pacesetter mids. I put the headers on, retightened them after one heat cycle and two years later I have not touched them again.
