But I am working on a fast motor for my car. Plus, I am finishing up a GT/AA Sunfire that is sporting a L76. Should be a fun ride.

I would like to and I know the LTX shootouts are a blast, but there isn't really a class I fall. My car is basically stock specs and I run wheelie bars. There isn't a class that I would compete in that allows wheelie bars.
And there is no way I will make a pass in this car with out them. It is too well balanced and it hooks very hard. A slight misstep on shock adjustments along with an iffy track could put me in a wall.
The starting line at the US Nationals this year was horrible. More than once I got up on the wheelie bars and one side of the track or the other would be riddled with bald spots.

Cecil in the late fall because a large group of us run N/A and the DA is typically -800ft or better, perfect for personal bests. There will be lots of other makes/models of cars there as well, it's just a test-n-tune day.
How far away are you from Cecil?

Sorry, I thought you were asking what times do the TnT run.
I generally run in the 10.40 to 10.50 (bracket mode) in C/SA weight. I have to slow it down due to that being nearly a second under the index plus it keeps the average high. It ran a 10.36 at Indy at about 2,800' DA and the baro isn't great there.
You can do the math.

I rechecked the rules on the class you mentioned. It would be a blast to run since I could take 300 lbs out of the car. On kill in decent air I should be in the 9.80 to 9.90 range.
The two things that kept me from running it at Bowling Green was the LTX Shootout is the weekend of the US Nationals in Indy and the wheelie bar issue.

Not sure what you mean. Why would it be easier without the bars?
I know you haven't seen my car launch, but it is close to perfection. A lot of this has to do with how it hooks, rises, loads on the bars, and lands. There is zero bounce. It sets down like it is landing on a pillow. The bouncing costs ET.
Here is a pic of a normal launch with it on the bars.

Thanks bud. Now I see what you meant by that comment. The short answer is no. So much of the ET for these cars are how they leave and 1/8 mile. My car is set up to leave hard and run hard like that.
By rule, I have to run the stock 48mm throttle body with no modifications. If you don't make an LT1 leave hard then you won't be able to outrun the LS1's and other combos that dominate the class.
