Lets Play "Name That Cam!" And the Winner Gets A Free Camshaft!!
We have run into a problem with our new line of cams. Naming them. I came up with the name, 'Street Sweeper" only to find out (after all the t-shirts were designed and everything) from a member here on 'Tech, that somebody was already using it! (The name "Street Sweeper" was from an old car club I was a part of in the late 80's/early 90's, when the whole Fastest Streetcar Shoot out started.)
So, we here at AES Racing, need a name for our line of camshafts. We are launching a few camshaft lines and need some help with the names. We thought it would be fun if you guys and gals can help us! Who ever comes up with the name we use, will get a free camshaft and t-shirt from AES!!
Lets hear the STREET MASTER, STREET BEAST, STREET DOMINATOR, etc. Send your ideas and comments to our PM box, or feel free to call us at 847-956-1244!!!!

On a serious note I would use space shuttle based names.
Different lines could be Apollo, Discovery, Challenger.
Its a great way to pay homage to a completely different industry, while creating a brand for your self since NO ONE is doing that.
Another idea is using an F moniker. For instance, F226 is a 226 based cam, F240, etc.
Have to create a naming structure that is unique in its market and stands out.

F226 would be a 226/23x cam
F218 would be a 218/226 cam
Whatever duration is it
You could even add like F226W for Wide LSA ot F226T for tight LSA.
the only cams that have really stuck in peoples heads are like a hotcam, and most people couldnt tell you the duration, the cc503 and a cc306 GM846 GM847.
You could even do AES226 to give your company some advertisement alot easier. "what cam do you have" "AES226" "oh ok thats the 226/230 cam right?" "yup"
I dont think a cam name is the best way to stand out. Of course some people probably want a "big ***** thumper" cam because of the name. You run into tech heads though and the name of the cam doesnt mean anything. LE1 LE2 LE3 im not bashing on lloyd, but that tells you nothing, only that an Le3 is more aggressive then a Le1.
Give us a cam with the specs in the name, Then when people want to order a AES226 cam they can go order one and not make a post like "whats the hotcam part number?"
I think that dude deserves a free cam, I wont need one, car is about to go BYE BYE

All that matters is the specs.

That being said....I am not picking on the MS3 cam. I couldn't even tell you WHO makes or sells it. It's just the first example of a "cam name" that came to mind.
