Give me a week or so & I'll show you the best way to do it. You will need aluminum valve covers though. Maybe I'll mock up a pic for you tonite. No one really responded to my thread regarding this so I did some thinking and came up with a great idea.

That is the idea I'm going with except on the aluminum valve covers. I'm having spacers I made and tapped Tig'd on. Should look pretty good when done and very easy to work with. No brackets, etc. Will cost me about $60 total. because I'm paying to have then welded on.

I plan on doing the same when I get new valvecovers..I tigged these myself(as you can tell) but I will pay to have the aluminum welded up.

I wasn't able to find any 6mm threaded spacers anywhere. And I searched for hours. Finally I found a company that sells 1" spacers then just tapped them out myself.

Finally got done with the valve covers. Now just ne to touch up with powdercoating. I went with 1" spacers because my first set coils were round and turned out they were broke when I pulled the plug wires off. It seems some idiot before me tried removing the wires with pliers. But...They were free so no big loss. As for using the squares, I would have easily gotten by with 3/4". There's a good 1/2" of clearance.

LT4 Valve Covers with 24X brackets. Be cool if they were hidden under the cowl

Here are my brackets. Although the OP chose not to go with them, maybe they will help you figure out what you want in some way. I have redesigned them a tad and cleaned up the design too.
