01-02 Express Van PCM in a 94 Camaro
Can the 411 PCM out of a 01-02 Express van operate a odb1 4l60e? And can the opti still be used?

They use the same terminals for the wires. You need a pair of LSI PCM connectors. You can back the wires out of the LT1 PCM connectors, and plug them into the LS1 connectors.
People don't believe this until they try it, but if you have a '94 Trans, you can just shut off the PWM TCC codes and the TCC will work just fine. It's done all the time.
Needing to spin yours past 7K?

I don't need to go past 7K I just hate the "stall wall" issue. And I want to be able to read code with normal scanners..

I can fix the "stall wall", and TTS Datamaster & a laptop makes a very nice scan tool for the OBD1 LT1.
A '96 or '97 LT1 PCM is OBD2, and no stall wall. A '94 car needs the ALDL connector replaced. A '95 only needs the class 2 data wire added from the connector behind the pass side, under the dash, to the ALDL. I would rather use Datamaster than a lower end OBD2 scan tool. I have a couple of Tech2s, I like them just fine, don't realy care for others I have used.
I have many OBD1 LT1 customers using Datamaster, can use the same cable as Tunercat. They email me logs and I tweak their tuning via email.
If you don't need the RPM, I would prefer a '96 LT1 box myself. Much simpler swap.

So if I get a 96 PCM. Wouldn't I have to get the timing cover crank sensor and reluctor wheel also? Then I would also have to get a body harness for the ALDL and a engine harness right?

I got the stall wall fixed and it did it again.. I think the 4000 stall is to loose I'm gonna swap it out for a quality 3600. If that doesn't work then I'm gonna get a 96 PCM

What tuner are you using? There are guys using 8" ATI converters on stock pcms. bowtienut and his friend Mike Harris the guy with the mid 10second NA Imapla right off the top of my head believe both are on OBD1 LT1 pcms. If you can't get your stuff to work I wouldn't blame the pcm.

I think you sent my tuner the fix but I'm not 100% sure.. I called him and he said it should be fixed he doesn't know what else to do. I just want to hammer it out the hole one day and see what she's really made of but instead I always have to baby it to keep stall wall from popping up..

How do you come out of the waterbox? I think if you come out suddenly and let the tires hook too quickly that can cause the "stall wall" when the pcm gets confused by the wheelspeed coming down almost instantly.
In all my years of screwing with this car I only ever had the problem a single time.

The worse they slip, the harder it is to fix. Who's converter are you running?

I ran a Rev Max 3500. It was very efficient. I then had it restalled to 4000. BIG MISTAKE!! It's very inefficient and does not compliment my setup. My torque peaks around 4600 and the converter flashes around 4500. I think ima go with an Edge 3600.. Geoff at EPS tuned the car. His shop is located in Baton Rouge Louisiana..

I was thinking about going with an Edge 3600. The quality seems to be close to the higher cost converters for about $200 less. Seems like a win win..
