Check your O2s. Is your car stock?

hmm... do you know if it's missing at all? Or just shutting down? How is it throughout the powerband... is it just down low?

i dont think it is your opti. If it was it would not be fine durring wot. I am thinking you have some sort of intake leak. Do you have access to a scanner or any sort.

When my o2s were bad the car would act up down low but run fine at wot. So that is also a possibility.

I'd bet that it's either a bad O2 or a vacuum leak.

I had a leak in my elbow once and that was causing some stutter. What year is this car? If you have no cats and it has OBDII electronics then your rear sensors may be screwing you up.

I would pick up some O2 sims for the rear then. I've never fooled with OBD2 but if they make O2 sims for the rear sensors and not for the front (at least I've never seen them), then those rear ones must do something.

hey i had a problem very similar to that in my 93. The ignition module was goin out and would cause the car to stall every once in a while. The shop couldnt diagnose it, cause it only threw a code when it decided to act up. The part is only like 80 bucks from the dealer....might be the problem?
