Question: LT1 MAP sensor 1, 2 or 3 bar?
I have a boosted application and was wondering what type of MAP sensor is stock on our vehicles? I want to upgrade it if its a 1 bar since Im boosted. Also, how can I tell the difference between a 1 bar MAP and a 2 bar MAP. Thanks alot!

AFAIK, it will work but you either scale the PCM to work with a 1bar or kill resolution to work with a 2bar sensor. To me, either way sounds crappy.
BUT, I am sure the old timer LT1 guys will come in spouting how it worked fine back in the day and no need to change anything etc etc.

you don't "need" a 2 bar MAP sensor to run boost on your LT1, you should get a tune appropriate to your injectors, and make sure your fuel delivery is up to snuff.
My Impala had the Turbo Technoologies kit on it for many years running 36 lb injectors and the stock MAP sensor.
Since I built that car there have been a few guys rework the stock PCM tunes/software to use a 2 bar MAP, and they likely work fine also. You can run Speed Density (MAFless) that way which does have advantages.
So check with your tuner, and Moe and see what they suggest.
But you can't just plug a 2-bar MAP into the car and have it run right.

Yes you can run a 1 bar but it is actually more difficult to tune than a 2 bar, it takes more calculations, and also as you say you just cannot plug in a 2 bar and go, fueling gets tricky here, I run 95 lb injectors and my IFR is set to 95lb, My idle, cruse and wot A/F are all to what is commanded, just need to know what you are doing, Been running a 2 bar supercharged and now turbo since app 97..
