Default Tuning 96-97s?

What tuning options are there for the OBD2 cars? The main thing stopping me from keeping my LT1 is the fact that I can't tune it without the JetDST software, and I can't find any dyno tuners around my side of PA. I would be willing to drive to one, just preferably under 200 miles.

I know it's half the fun, only I'm worried about blowing up my engine. I'm either going *****-to-the-wall H/C 383, or doing a mild LS build. If I go the 383 route, I'll have to tune it myself and that is not something I am too keen on doing. I know I can do a 24x, but at that price point I may as well just go LS.

Yea tuning options for these cars are really limited. I wish I had gone with am obd1 car so I'd be expect from emissions or just ponied up the cash for an LS fbody.

Solomon from LT1pcmtuning does the loan a cable method. You put down a deposit and he sends you everything necessary to tune/datalog. You email him back the data logs. he then sends updated tunes for you to upload back into the car. All you need is a basic laptop to get the job done. Once your done, you send him back the cable and software and you get your deposit back.

Hm. I may have to try that, I have heard tell of someone local to me who can do it, and has a good reputation, so I'm gonna give him a try first.

I've never had any problems with my OEM Opti, but tuning was the main reason I decided to ditch it in favor of the TorqHead 24x system for my 383 LT4.

Please do a 383, sounds good and makes tons of torque. LS= starting up a blender.

Indeed! Sound may not be a big deal to some people, but it certainly played a HUGE part when I had to decide on an LS swap or building on the foundation that I already had.

My neighbor is actually trying to one up me with a LS. I am currently running open headers while waiting for my SE true duals, and it's kinda funny, they started it on open headers and it was quiet and sounded like poo. So by default, I win
