Is that the header that has the slip-fit joint on the driver's side cylinder closest to the front of the car?? How do you prevent them from leaking through the joint?

They use ball flanges not slip fit. A quick google search shows what they use.

I am not talking about the connection between the headers and the Y Pipe.

It used the ball flange for the cat hookup as well unless you get the cat delete pipe...which is still ball flange as well.
The collectors are not slip fit on the primaries either, they are welded on. Nothing on that system is slip fit though.

Shovelman is talking about the "slip fit" on the #1 cylinder primary where it connects to the rest of the piping. I have these headers, great fitment, great spark plug access, and the ball flange connections seal great, however the # 1 primary fiting is a pain to get to seal. Still best overall header around all things considered.

On the same page now! i was completely passing over thst part. My apologies to shovelman. other than welding it, it could be an issue but ive installes a few and never has issues. We normally upgrade to the stage 8 locking bolts or percys and the metal gaskets, but thats all.
These are the best fitting with good ground clearance mids for the price and the option right now of no egr and air fittings to work around is even better, esp vs othe mids that cost $200+ more.

What have you tried to seal the joint? I purchased a tube of walker exhaust putty and two clamps and it still leaks. It's so embarrassing I may have to dump them for Long Tubes.

Shovelman, for me it leaked a little bit the first few hundred miles. I caked it with high temp rtv and got that bolt super tight. So far with 3500miles on the headers it hasnt leaked again. It was nice not having to remove the steering knuckle to install them though.
