Default Diff 26019044

Hi guys,

just got a donnor rear end, found a diff inside with the numbers 26019044. Looking into the parts manual i dont see that numver on anything. Second in between the small gears there is like a ig clip with some springs but looks like one is missing. How many springs go in there, what is the part number because it also doesnot apoear in the manual.
Thanx

Those numbers are only for the ring and pinion.
The springs are what provides the limited slip (LSD)

The carrier is an Auburn cone-clutch carrier, vintage 1998 and earlier.
The 3.23 gearset indicates it was from an automatic transmissioned car.
The carrier is a 3 series,28 spline.

Once that center pin is out, which you show partially out in the 2nd picture, the spring loaded plates pull out. Each plate has 5 'dimples' to show/indicate where the springs sit.
You might not be able to pull the plates out with the ring gear still on the carrier(gear teeth might be in the way).
In case you do have to remove the ring gear, the 10 bolts holding the ring gear on ARE LEFT HAND THREAD.
