Need some help!! 94 lt1 crank no start

Ok, I have a 1994 Camaro z28 has 45,000 original miles ran fine next morning it would only crank. Car ended up sitting 3 years due to it not starting and no money to fix it. Got it out this past weekend changed all plugs drained gas tank changed fuel filter new icm has spark off coil only checked one plug but has spark. Car cranks and when you let off key it backfires out of throttle body every once and awhile when cranking it back fire was it cranks. Thinking it could be optispark but it's getting spark, any ideas would be much appreciated.

What color is the spark at the coil,should be a blue, if its an orange color then its the coil.

Spark Test

Hi Travis, Moe's tech is fine, I would add the same at the Plug Wire.

Remove a wire at the plug end, insert an old plug, ground to head then report.

I do sell "opti" for $128.00 FOB.

Checked spark at coil and plug wire, spark is a orange as orange can be so ordered a msd street fire coil off summit, hoping to have it by Friday, I'll let you guys know what the outcome is.

So got new coil, spark is still orange car still turns over good and pops and backfires still still won't start, looking more and more like the opti. What do you guys think? Any other ideas?

OP, If you have spark going into the opti but nothing coming out.... You might try tearing down the front end and pulling the cap off the opti. The rotor screws may have backed out which would cause a no spark at the plugs.
