New 383 has some issues

New 383 has some issues The car ran great for the first 70 miles or so back to my house. I let it sit at the local cruise in for a couple hours and from then on it has randomly ran like crap.
symtoms- When it acts up the idle is all over the place, it jumps from 400-1500 rpm. surges and backfires when you try to go down the road, and keeps stalling out. It does this when it is hot and when it's cold. The last time it died it wouldn't fire back up. it just cranked and cranked. After pushing it home I let it sit for about 10-15 min. went back out and it fired right up. The idle seemed steady for the moment but ever so slowly worked its way up from a 900-1000rpm idle to a 1400-1500 rpm idle and just stayed there. WTF

SOMEONE HELP ME! A friend of mines car was acting up like that once. He had a bad coolant temperature sensor, and the computer didn't know what to do with the bad readings. But he never had a problem with starting, just mainly with idling, anywhere from stalling to 1500 rpm.

I had this same problem with my 383...I replaced my opti and....it wasn't it....its your Ignition Control Module...about $80 through NAPA. My car would run fine fine shhhh, shut off....then wouldn't start....then, brrrmm start...>!>!>? I think its your ICM. good luck

Thanks 93turbolt1. Hopefully it is my opti tho since I already bought another one.... I just cleaned the opti and let it dry out. Now the car doesn't have a miss anymore but still just randomly shuts off and won't start back up. The shop said it isn't recieving an opti signal when this happens.
