I hate reading those threads. The sad truth is the LS1 is the HP king until you put high port heads on a LT1. Then they are about even.
BTW I run a Tuner business on the side and LT1s in an F-body are a bit easier to work on then a LS1 in an F-Body
Just remember then next time you are talking to a pompass LS1 guy to ask him "If your car is so easy to work on ...lets have a time contest replacing lifters"

Wow dude, don't want to bust your *****, but how many of each have you worked on???? I love my lt1, but i'd rather work on my customers ls1's any day. ls1 cam swap 4hours, lt1 cam swap about 6-8, ls1 rocker swap half hour at most, lt1 rocker swap at least an hour.

I kind of have to agree with this. Although I can now do basically anything on a lt1 in no time at all, I would rather being doing cam swaps and basically anything other than swapping lifters on a ls1..
I dont even care if they say a ls1 is superior because it is. I just hate the ignorance and the crazy comments about lt1s...

Hell of alot easier to crack a engine out of a C-4 then a C-5
There is just more room to work around a LT1 then a LS1. Yes alot of stuff like cam swaps are alot easier unless you want to put good lifters in. I gotta say i like that. Like I said they are far superior.

I can say i can do anything on a lt1 faster than a ls1 but thats just from experience.. Opti in in an hour and a half including coolant bleed
