Datamaster is great. Uses the same cable as your Tunercat software. Down side is, it won't log past 6375 RPM. Not much use to a guy that shifts higher than that. Most of my runs would make a flat RPM graph most of the run. Have to log with my Tech2, which has no problem logging right up to, or past, the 7300 RPM where my PCM gives up, so it can't be a limitation in the data stream. I'm guessing it's software, don't know why they don't fix that. I shift my faster "hot" cam customer's cars higher than that. I don't think I have any eleven second customers that shift that soon. Certainly not the faster guys.

Good luck, Ed

Ed have you tried the later BETA version? I don't rev that high so I can't easily test it without putting together a high rev tune and all. I know the BETA version had some patches to it one being an additional tach display.

I have beta version 3.4.17, last time I looked it was still the newest version.
A little clunky to use compared to a Tech2 or Tech1A, but pretty good for something pc based. It would be nice to leave my Tech2 at home, and use my laptop I have to take anyway, but it is pretty much usless for my car.

Ed, actually they have put Beta 3.5.1 out which not only allows for RPM > 6375, but also allows for logging of custom fields...

Now, if I can just figure out a way to patch the OBD I PCM code to allow another 0-5V input and figure out how to publish it, then I would be all set to have wideband data available in the ALDL stream...

You wouldn't have any input on how to accomplish this, would you???

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. As for the wide band, I have the "Wide Band Commander" from Dynojet in the car. Haven't given any thought to running it through the PCM.

Take care, Ed
