CSR. CSR doesn't require modification to the fan shroud.

I have had both. My CSR lasted about 500 miles. Bought the Meziere and have 6000 trouble free miles on it so far. The meziere will not need any waterpump housing modifications like the CSR will but will need a fan shoud mod. Good luck. Luckily on my Impy I had no problems with clearance at the fan shroud with the Meziere but several friends with Z's did.

I have the Meziere, just for the simple fact I have used that brand on a couple of other project cars and never had a single issue with it.

I am wondering how good the Summit Racing electric waterpump is...

I mean they advertise a ceramic bearing good for like 10,000 hours or somesuch... Plus it is competetively priced...

In regards to the brands listed, I have owned both the DSR and the Meziere, and the CSR lasted less than 1000 miles before teh seal on the motor ate through the motor shaft and was leaking... Then again that unit was like the first run for LT1s where they had three blades on the impeller, so maybe they have improved thier design since...

With the Meziere, my buddy had the unit I am running on his car for about 6k miles, then when he parted his car I got it, and have run it with at least another 6k miles and upon teardown the only issue was a siezed rear support bearing, which I fixed and it is running fine...

I must say that I don't trust something so critical to not suddenly 'die', so I have a brand new spare Meziere with a wrench always in the car 'just in case'...

well your in luck i just went throught crap with the 2 brands of pumps i first got the csr because of the price it lasted 20 min when the impeller backed off they had no loctite on the threads and instead or right hand threads they should have cut them left handed the way the pump rotates when it got any amount of resistance on it and heatead the aluminum impeller to swell from the hot coolant it spins right off i triple checked to see if csr was that stupid to design it that way and they were i blew a headgasket due to the pump i called csr and they said they were real sorry and should have had loctite imo they should have just put lefthanded threads and would replace it i sent it back to summit while i had summit on the phone i asked to made the summit brand pump it kinda looked like a csr with summits name on it but the tech really didnt know i called meziere and they press thier impellers on so thats what i bought and no problems what so ever kinda long winded on this but it cost me a blown headgasket and my labor due to csr poor design which they write in the warraty disclaimer they dont cover any repairs due to a defective product

What punctuation?

I have a CSI on mine and I like it. No problems and the car makes nearly 500rwhp.

Sounds like it's hit or miss either way.
