Default intake manifold for lt4 style heads

Okay, I did a search but nothing really answered my question. Im doing a 396 stroker, afr 195s, and gm847 cam. My question is what are my options for an intake manifold? The lt4 intake is discontinued from gm, and hard to come by around here. Are there any sheet metal intakes available? Or any carb style intakes with injector bungs available? Thanks.

There are some sheet metak intake manifolds, but there not cheap. Most start like from 900-2000 mostly custom or built for race.

The Victor E is what most guys run, Just bought one for a buddy of mine hes gonna use on a 383. its a single plane carb set up that you can adapt for injectors and such.

Thanks for that. It looks good too. Will it work on the afr195s though? I know it works on the 210s...thats according to afr's website.

LT4 would probably be the best bet, but if Im going to spend over $500 for an intake, Im going sheet metal.

asudecat-did you machine off the coolant passage on the front of that?

Yeah, my thoghts exactly. I have bare AFR LT4 210's and I haven't bought an LT4 intake yet, I guess that I should have gotten on the ball whe they were cheap. I would go with a single plane setup, but by the time that I get a single plane setup and get a new hood, because from what I understand, guys haven't been able to get one to fit under a stock Z hood, I might as well go ahead and buy a nice Hogan sheet metal. I would have over a $1000.00 in the hood and paint just to go with a Victor Jr. Correct me if I am wrong!

Yea it does. I called AFR today and they said the only intake that will work on those particular heads is the LT4 intake or any intake with the runners in the same location. I have seen dual plane lt4 carb intakes like the one parker tx mentioned, but for the power I want to put down I need a single plane.

For the costs people are talking, seems like you could get a LT1 manifold welded up and port it to match the LT4-style AFR heads. Wonder what this will do to AFR's LT head sales, since most of their PN's are for LT4 manifolds? Maybe they'll tool up something better?

It would be nice if someone came out with a decent reasonably priced intake for a setup like this. I checked out some sheet metal intakes a little while ago...$2500!!!!
