Damn Guy, tryin to get that post count up??? LMAO

There are too many variables. A stroked motor (383) with a bigger cam may idle perfect, the same cam in a 350 will thump. If it is stroked, it could be a 383, 392, 396, 409?????????? there are endless possibilities.

it would prolly not run that much lower times w/ a stock H/C/I. The point of a stroked motor is to increase air and without the supporting mods it'd flow almost like stock

you would get more power putting a set of headers on then you would with a stroker put together with stock parts.

it also raised the comp. ratio about a point running flat tops. thats another four percent power gain. the big gain is torque. you can always add the bolt ons later. headers and exhaust picked it up another .3-.35 tenths in the 8th.

Guy in my local club has a 383, EVERYTHING else is stock, and he put 270 somethin at the wheels on the dyno. Thats probably the most expensive thing for the worst gain, im sure.

i eventually changed to a 3.73 gear and saw no improvement. swapped to a turbo 350 and convertor and picked up .5 in the 8th.
