Default Debating two hotcam kits

First off I am getting a hotcam kit so if you would please keep these kind of comment out "you shouldnt go with the hotcam", "there are other cams out there with more power capabitliies and cheaper", trust me guys I know this by now. Anyways 2 guys want to sell me their kits. One of them contains: the hotcam, lifters, timing chain and gears, springs, and reatiners for $300. The other has: hotcam, springs, retainers, locks for $250. Which should I go with? I'm leaning towards forking up the extra $50 and buying the first guys kit

How much does a LT1 timing chain Usually run for?

yea but how many miles on his cam springs ect? how many on his timing chain(is it stretched?) and what condition are the lifters in? you dont need new lifters anyways, id stay with the ones you have in your car because they are known good
