2003 Cobra

how much faster is a bone stock 03 Cobra than a bone stock low mileage '97 WS6? I guess, how much seat of the pants difference will I feel between the two? Im just trying to make a decision on what car to buy. Thanks a lot guys.

Well I think you can guess what the answer is going to be around here. My advice is to drive both and buy what you like and can afford. Both are sweet cars.

Buddy, an 03 Cobra...or 97 WS6. There is no comparison. Now if you said 98 WS6, different story. Ill take you for a ride and you decide.

97-LT1 98-LS1 the LS1 ws6 are like 320 actually im not to sure about the 98's might have been a lil less HP

ls1 aint **** compared to that CObra.... cobra is so easily made fast... its already a 12 second animal stock.. and it dont take no money to get it into the 11's

I think what he was trying to say is that the 98 WS6 has a 40+rwhp advantage over a 97 LT1 motor, and runs real close to a stock cobra. Stock cobras have mid-high 12 second time slips in them, but most run stock LS1 times at the track(low 13's).

The cobra stock against a LT1 stock or LS1 stock would whip them both. Hands down

Cobra 390hp LS1 305hp and LT1 275hp

The 03-04s also pick up a good bit from basic bolt ons, an 03-04 Cobra doesnt compare with an LS1 or LT1, if I was in the position, I would get the Cobra, How ever the difference in price could go a long way in a LT1 or LS1. Depends on how you wnat to look at it. Cobras are still mid 20K, a LT1 WS6 is maybe 7K tops, lot of mod money but if going fast was your only objective, go buy a 5.0 notch and spend the money on that.

I raced a bone stock Cobra at California Raceway in Fontana. I would have to dig up the time slip but he ran in the low 13's and I ran my 12.7x and of course gave him a little disappointment. I drive a 1989 GTA moded of course. I also don't know how good of a driver he was.

my friends got an 03 cobra, 10th aniversty, and ya its pretty damn fast, stock, with a cold air and exhuast its easy a low 12 car, i have seen stock 03 cobras got 12.6, so i would go with the cobra
