Default electric fuel pressure gauge

Is anyone running a autometer electronic fuel pressure gauge? I hooked mine up, I have the older style with the black box, but it reads 0 when the car is off, then goes and sits on 100 when you shut the car off. I'm wondering if I had to do anything wierd with the schrader valve? I rethreaded it to accept 1/8 fittings, that is what the sending unit is for the gauge, and I also used a 90 degree fitting as the sending unit will not clear the cowl. Any ideas? I'm not reading any pressure.

I have one for the Nitrous fuel and mine worked fine right out of the box. It is a few psi off from the gauge threaded into the tee fitting for the gauge, but close enough.

I am using a Dynotune electric fuel pressure guage. It says in their instuctions that, when the car is not running the guage my not read correctly.

Does you guage work correctly while the motor is running?

Your post is alittle confusing, you are not reading any pressure at all? Did you take the little valve out of the shrader fitting? Also you didn't need to rethread the fitting. All you needed was a -4an to 1/8" thread adapter fitting. You can get them in 90 degree angles.

ok I am not reading any pressure at all, sorry it wasn't very clear.

So I can/have to take the valve out of the schrader fitting? What is the best way to acomplish this??

Its already rethreaded so I'm not too worried, but thanks for future reference.

Default valve..

all you need to remove the schrader valve is a tire valve stem core remover.. I got mine at advance auto for around a couple bucks, it will pull it right out...

ok anyone know where I can get the -4an to 1/8" adaptor? I went to Lowes, Home Depot, NAPA, ace hardware, no one has one. Oh yeah and for extra laughs the guys at napa didn't know what AN fittings were!

Yeah I cracked my rail and another one is coming, I figure I will go this route this time.

Thanks for everyones help, got a uncracked rail, found the two different earls fittings through summit, and the gauge works great. Reading about 31.5 psi at idle, 41 psi at WOT.

Yeah it seems to go to a random spot when the car is shut off like mentioned above.

no, I don't have a adj. fuel pressure regulator. Those numbers match what the Chiltons have also.

Are they off?
