Default what module is this?

the box on the driver side frame rail, inside the frame where your cold air intake would go into the fender......looks like its tapped into the abs crap

If you were a little more descriptive, people would help...

By your vague description, it sounds like the cruise control module... It should have a cable running towards the firewall where it bends back forward and attaches to the TB

i thought i decisbed it well theres only one box inside the frame rail on the driver side

Im pretty sure thats the ABS module.

The ABS module is on the engine side of the frame rail... If you have TCS it has a brake module below the ABS brake module... The Cruise Control module is the only box on the outside (opposite the engine) of the frame rail. It has a wiring harness coming to it on one end, and the cruise cable that goes to the TB on the other.

If this is in your way for something like an intake or Procharger intercooler (like mine) just relocate it to the bottom of the frame rail and it will clear.

no its not in the way just going to dump it along with the abs....to lose soe weight and clean up the engine bay....abs and tcs are disconnected anyway...I relocted ALL the wiring/haresess of the strut towers the ground its all gone all I want to see in my bay is a motor I'm probally going to try to get the pcm in the car too I have no heater core some it should work out


thanks..btw how was that a4 to m6 swap go......been kickn that around for some time now

swap wasnt bad, just a little tedious with cutting holes in the firewall and the trans tunnel.
Ive been kicking around the idea of selling the whole swap kit to at least partially finance a th400 swap. If your interested, shoot me a pm!
